for 4 chemistry awards. Most of them did the award-winning work outside of Israel. From what I can tell, only one award was produced in Israel.

There are also Japanese scientists in the list who did work outside of Japan, of course, such as Suzumu Tonegawa. So you need a totally different data set to gauge the strengths of science in different nations.
